Nick Adams is a Principal Engineer, Firmware Architecture in Intel’s IP Engineering Group. In this role he drives strategy and innovation around Firmware Architecture, Development and Validation across the breadth of Intel IPs. He is a member of the NVMe Board and an active participant in the NVMe Technical Working Group. Prior to his current role at Intel, Nick spent two years at Microsoft as a Director of SW/FW Engineering for the Surface team. Before that, Nick held various System FW Architecture, Management, and Development roles at Intel over the course of 16 years. Nick holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering and a Master’s degree in Software Engineering, both from Portland State University. He has been issued 20+ patents in the areas of Computer System Firmware and Security.
