Alan Niebel is the founder and chief executive officer for WebFeet Research, Inc., a non-volatile memory, storage, and in-memory compute semiconductor market research company located in Monterey, CA. Alan is responsible for the Flash and NVRAM demand and shipments forecast by application for all components, and for market forecasts for Flash cards, EFDs, SSDs and emerging electronic devices.  Alan has worked in non-volatile semiconductor market research for nearly twenty four years and has considerable experience both as a consultant and as an analyst. At the IEEE Non-Volatile Semiconductor Memory Workshops, Alan has been the keynote speaker for many sessions, and has also conducted panel discussions on 3-bit and 4-bit per cell NAND Memories, and Flash Memory Testing and Packaging. He has also written articles and has been quoted in The Economist, Forbes, Business Week, Investors Business News, the Wall Street Journal, Electronic Business Today, and other publications. ​Alan’s work has been referenced and used by Intel, Cypress (Spansion), Samsung, SanDisk, Toshiba, Seagate, STMicroelectronics, HP, IBM, Microsoft, SST-Microchip, Macronix, Winbond, Adesto and many other semiconductor manufacturing companies. Alan received his B.A. degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara and his MBA in International Business from the Monterey Institute of International Studies. He also holds a private pilot's license.
